Painted paper FX series is an ongoing series of painted paper sculptures that reimagine the guitar effects pedals that have shaped my creative life. Built entirely from paper and painted to echo their real‑world counterparts, these objects sit at the intersection of craft, memory, and musical culture. They function as both homage and artifact—honoring the countless hours spent playing guitar, experimenting with tone, and discovering new textures.
Through this work, I’m reflecting on the intimacy of influence: how something as small as a stompbox can shape identity, memory, and connection. Each sculpture becomes a tribute to the years I’ve spent making music and to the friendships, collaborations, and communities that grew from it. Together, they form a quiet monument to the circuitry of connection—the people, places, and sounds that continue to reverberate long after the music fades.
