Illusions of connection
Illusions of connection Artist Statement
This series of painted paper sculptures is a meditation on the fragile illusions of connection. In the haze of intoxication, laughter and closeness feel tangible, almost sacred. Yet by morning, the residue is only emptiness - cans, ash, and the echo of words that no longer hold weight. The piece confronts the tension between the desire to belong and the inability to sustain it, capturing the moment when intimacy dissolves into silence, leaving behind only traces of what was never truly there.
